Book box card

As I was blog hopping I came across a book box card and wanted to try it. Unfortunately the excellent directions were in metric measurements and as I needed to use my score board which isn't metric I had to figure out how to do it in inches!

I will give you the measurements I used but for metric and for the directions I am sending you to the Sassy Scrapper blog.
These are the measurements I used for an A2 card (5.5" x 4.25")
For the folds cut 2 pieces 9" x 5.5" and 2 pieces 9" x 4" from cardstock and score at .75" intervals
For the cover Cut one piece 9.25" x 5.5" and score at 4.25" and 5.5"

I made my cover with white CS and then used aqua CS and DP on the front, back and inside. On the front I cut 2 white rectangles, used a Cuttlebug folder on one piece and then used a die (Heartfelt Creations HCD711)on the top piece and raised it with dimensional tape, The butterflies are Martha Stewart punches covered with glitter.

On the left inside of the card I stamped the sentiment, Let Your Dreams Take Flight, with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder on a panel cut with a Marianne Designs Creatables die. Inside the box I used the positive part of the die I used on the front with the same butterflies and glued them between different  folds of the book.

Thank you for sharing. I'm bookmarking this page along with Sassy Scrapper blog...I think a pic in the center would be neat.

This is a great card! When I was adjusting measurements for my custom
window size, I found that if you use the noted paper size and score
lines for the cover you will end up with: 4.25" front, 1.25" spine and
the back will be 3.75" rather than the required 4.25". I also adjusted
my cover size for the width of the score lines.
